This is the story of Deadly Grounds:
Scare-a-Con 2013. In a coffee-infused twist of fate, Brad Mavin crossed paths with Deadly Grounds Coffee for the first time. Brad, being the coffee fiend that he is, couldn't resist the temptation of their wickedly delicious brews. It was like love at first sip. He knew then and there that he had to bring this caffeinated revolution to Canada.
Fast forward a few years, and the birth of Deadly Grounds Coffee Canada became a reality! But Brad couldn't go on this deadly journey alone. Then came Arielle Burton, another fearless soul with a taste for the unconventional. Between Brad's insatiable coffee cravings and Arielle's sprinkle of madness, they made a more potent duo than a double espresso shot!
With the passing of the years, our growing team is a motley crew of talented roastmasters, skilled baristas, and passionate horror enthusiasts, all committed to one wickedly wonderful goal: to provide you with the most flavourful, spine-tingling coffee experience of your after-life. Since opening our doors in February of 2018, Deadly Grounds has won the award for Best Coffee and Best Cafe in Metroland's Durham Region's Reader's Choice Awards. We have also won in categories for Best Cafe, Best Bistro and Best Ambiance.
